Have you met Will yet? He started out as an intern and impressed us with his customer service skills, gained from years in the fine dining industry. Now he’s an account manager, ready to help clients while he obtains his bachelor’s degree in finance at San Diego State.
Will, we know you’re an ice hockey star…how did you get into hockey in the first place?
My love for hockey started when I was young – there was a roller hockey rink near my house growing up. Sadly, that closed down when I was about 12 years old, which is when I switched over to ice hockey.
Have you been able to parlay any hockey skills into your job at Fusco & Orsini?
I learned excellent teamwork and leadership skills by playing hockey, as well as strong perseverance to always get back on my feet after being knocked down, literally.
What do you miss most about Santa Rosa, where you grew up?
I miss friends and family the most but I visit quite a bit.
Do you speak any languages other than English?
I lived in Germany for three months as a high school exchange student and have been back to visit old friends as well as brush up on my German skills. I was not a big fan of German food although German beer is excellent.
Walk us through your ideal Saturday in San Diego
An ideal Saturday in San Diego usually starts with taking my 5-year-old golden lab to Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach. Next, I’ll meet up with friends and do something outside like rollerblading or sailing on San Diego Bay.
